At least there's one saving grace: the director doesn't use the shaky camera movement or fast cutting to get his effects. There are some genuinely scary moments and a lot of silliness in the plotting which is pretty par for the course in these kind of thrillers. Having absolutely despised the first JEEPERS CREEPERS when I was unfortunate enough to see it in cinemas, it was with a heavy heart I sat. The film is not terrifying but it is pretty creepy and has a good, consistent tone to it that is quite unnerving. His facial expression is mainly one of shock at finding dead bodies at the bottom of a barrel-shaped pipe and he keeps up the shocked look throughout most of the film. However, even with its weaknesses, it does manage to entertain on a very shallow B-movie level.

Long is amusing as the brother who has some good lines to say to his irritating sister as they squabble over how to approach the idea of hunting down a monster. As far as the official date of release for the movie Jeepers Creepers: Reborn is considered, there has not been any specific official. Jeepers Creepers starts intriguingly and features a rather iconic villain, but it suffers from a poorly written script that relies on too many contrived situations for its frights. The first 15 minutes, especially, are like a breath of fresh air from the choking cloud of typical horror conventions, establishing a great, natural rapport between Justin Long and Gina Phillips as road-tripping siblings before quickly ratcheting up the tension. It's a fairly suspenseful horror flick with the leads making the usual mistakes so that they can come into contact with the flesh eating monster who clearly is after one of them for a purpose not revealed until the end. The first half of 'Jeepers Creepers' is excellent a perfect introduction to a spooky and wickedly funny new horror villain. JUSTIN LONG and GINA PHILIPS are brother and sister returning home for spring break when they run into road rage and a monster who comes out of hiding after long hibernation to kill humans for body parts that keep him thriving.
